Rothenburg Campground

Rothenburg Campground is within the city limits and adjacent to the Riverside Park complex.  New in 2011 - WiFi in the campground!!  Rothenburg Campground is taking on a new look with the addition of five sites, new paths, and addition of sewer sites.  

In 2011, the campground will have 17 units with full hook-up, 24 sites with water and electric, and 5 tent sites with electric hook-up.  Click here for a map of the campground. There are two bathhouses, both with showers. Each campsite includes a fire ring and picnic table. One dump station is still available.  Cost is $28 per night for sites w/full hook-up, $25 for water and elec, and $15 for tents w/electric.  Additional tents in camper sites are $12. Reservations for each summer begin in January - email to commctr@newulmtel.net or call 507-723-3517.  Reservations will be taken per the earliest request.

Payment with names must be received 7-14 days  after making reservation or reservations will be cancelled.  No refunds are given, however, rainchecks will be issued for use through the following summer. No-shows forfeit any monies paid.  Cancellations must be noted at least one week in advance.Waitlists will be taken.

Reservations begin January 3, 2011 for the camping season.  A maximum of 15 sites may be reserved at one time.  Pets are allowed, however, they MUST be on a leash at all times and do NOT leave your pet alone.  Also, very important to all others using the campground - it is your responsibility to dispose of your pets waste in a timely manner!

Due to the invasion of the Emerald Ash Borer - we ask that you be aware of the type of wood that you are bringing and burning at our campground.  Wood is available for purchase at the community center. $5 per bundle.

Please check in at the Community Center on arrival for camping.  It is located on the North side of the Bridge entrance into the park and campground. Also, please note that during inclement weather, you are asked to go to CITY HALL basement located at 2 East Central on main street. Rothenburg Campground is two blocks from the downtown area and 2.6 miles of paved walking, hiking and biking trails lead to the golf club and/or other areas of interest. 

Riverside Park boasts a stainless steel L-shaped pool, bath house, kiddy pool and a figure 8 water slide and separate plunge pool. The park also includes a sand volleyball court, picnic shelters, new playground equipment, horseshoe courts, and a canoe landing. Newly added is a go-cart race track, known as 'Kartin' in the Park'.  Fourteen holes of disc golf are ready, along with Sure-Putt, a practice area for disc golf.  Five more holes have been added since its opening.  Discs are available at the Community Center for purchase.
